An Italian Genealogy Conference

Welcome to Roots in the Boot! We are a group dedicated to learning about our Italian family history and culture. We are holding a conference in Pittsburgh, PA on 18 June 2011 to celebrate these topics. POINT Chapter 20 and the Italian Genealogy Group are co-sponsoring the event. The conference will be held in Carnegie Library Lecture Hall (located at 4400 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh), behind the main entrance to the Carnegie Library. Our featured speaker will be Ruth Lapioli Merriman. Ms. Merriman is an Italian expert at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. She will present four lectures. The registration deadline is June 10, 2011.
Parking is available in the Carnegie Library and Museum parking lot. The entrance for this lot is at the intersection of Forbes Avenue and South Craig Street. On Saturdays the rate is a flat fee of $5.00.
In addition to our conference, there are lots of things to do in Pittsburgh. We've compiled a list of attractions that the whole family will enjoy!
